We are not Moral Equivalents
Critics pounce after Obama talks Crusades, slavery at prayer breakfast
The first person that came into the library this morning was talking about the President's remarks on at the National Prayer Breakfast. I would like to remind whoever cares that the West has worked hard to encourage religious liberty and racial equality. How much progress have Islamic countries made in these areas over the last 500 years? The United States and Europe for that matter are not moral equivalents of ISIS.

Brian Williams and the Bovine Manure Spreaders
The news was out in the news and social media last night: Brian Williams lied about his helicopter being shot down in Iraq. In this link, FOX News calls him on it, as they should. But before we begin crowing over Williams's misstep, let us remember that we live in a world that rewards overstatement, bravado, and yes even lies, if we don't get caught. Before we crow though, we should check our own electronic footprint for bovine manure, then let him who is without sin cast the first stone, as it were.
