The following article link questions the idea of many evangelicals that modern Israel is the people of God today.  Ben Irwin makes some good arguments about why the contemporary Israel is not the last days Israel.  I don't agree with everything, but he makes some compelling arguments.  But it is important to remember that no nation is God blessed and above reproach.  I always question going to war, or using any army in the name of God.

Miracles, the Paranormal, and Faith

Much has been written about stories of boys who died and went to heaven, (or who did not die and go to heaven).  This is a story that is attested to my several witnesses.  Whether it was the freezing temperatures of the water, the pleading words of his mother weighing on his unconscious or an answer to prayer by a loving God to a praying mother.  Being dead for 45 minutes and coming back to life qualifies as a paranormal event.  I believe that it was a miracle in any event.
